Kids Classes

Our Kids Capoeira program is great for children from ages 4–16. Students become familiar with all elements of the art form and learn new ways of moving their bodies in time with rhythm, playing percussion instruments, singing songs in Portuguese, and gaining confidence in expressing themselves through dance. Capoeira not only focuses on developing strength, coordination, and flexibility, our classes also help kids develop their confidence and self esteem. Partner movements encourage cooperation, trust, and interaction with peers and teachers.

Good to Know

My child is brand new to capoeira, what class would be best?

Great! Please email us and we will figure out the best day and time for your child.

What if my child misses a class?

If you miss a class you are welcome to join another class during the semester. We allow two make ups per session.

Do I need to purchase a uniform?

Yes! Uniforms are required after the first week in all of our youth classes. You can purchase your uniform when you sign up for the series. Just let us know and we will have the correct size ready.

Is class drop off?

Yes! We encourage parents to drop their child(ren) off so kids are 100% focused on class. We invite parents to watch the last 15 minutes of class to showcase what we have learned.
