All Levels Classes
(NO ADULT CLASSES AT THE MOMENT)
After students have graduated from our Absolute Beginners Series, they are welcome to join our all levels class. We also welcome students who have trained in the past and are returning to capoeira or to capoeiristas who recently moved to the area. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before class begins. Wear your white capoeira uniform (group t-shirt, abadas, cord) to all classes.
If you are not sure which class is best for you, email us and we can help you find the best fit.
Good to Know
What can I expect in class?
All of our classes are different but they follow a similar flow. We begin with a light warm up and stretching. We do a combination of solo movements and exercises with partners across the room and in roda-style play. We incorporate music into our classes so students are able to sing and play instruments and we also love to add in some Maculelê! We end the class with a group roda to reinforce and practice what was learned in class.
How do I pay for class?
We accept cash, check (please make all checks out to “RB Capoeira.”) or venmo (@RB-capoeira). Read more here.
Is there a drop in option?
We offer a one-time drop in trial class for $25. All other classes are included in our monthly class packs – read about our options here.
Are uniforms required in class?
Yes! Full abadas (shirts, pants and cord) are required after the first week.
Curu is one of the most motivational teachers I’ve ever had. He makes you forget about your limitations and you wind up doing things you didn’t think you were capable of. He makes you part of his family and feel like every class is a chance to participate in something really unique and special. At 40 I’m still finding myself and Curu’s helped me down that road. Highly recommend.
