Summer Camp 2019
We are happy to announce our Summer Camp options for 2019! This year we are offering three weeks of camp - you can register for one, two or all three weeks. Registering for individual days is also an option.
Weekly Themes
The core focus of camp will be capoeira, Portugues and having fun! In addition, each week will have a different spin to ensure kids have new experiences each week and have a deeper understanding of other elements we don’t get to explore during our regular classes.
Week One
July 8-12
Journey to Brazil
Discover the sights and sounds of Brazil through a week of immersive, hands-on activities like soccer, samba, musci, and of course – capoeira!
Week Two
July 15-19
Música!
Explore the instruments of capoeira by learning to play them and by making your own berimbau! We will have our own orquestra to play in the capoeira roda.
Week Three
July 22-26
Taste of Brazil
Learn to cook and then enjoy a variety of the many delicious foods from Brazil – fresh fruits as well as specialties like feijoada, aai and pão de quejo.
TIME:
Camp drop off begins at 9:00 am and pick up is at 3:00 pm. We are offering an extended day option until 5pm for $30 per day.
PRICE:
9:00-3:00 pm option: $450 per camper
9:00-5:00 pm option: $600 per camper
*You can sign up for a full week of camp or individual days (9:00 am-3:00 pm is $80 per day).
WHAT TO BRING:
Please pack a lunch for your child (including water) as well as two snacks.
